PHILADELPHIA – The Ivy League announced its wrestling weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, with
Evan Mougalian of the University of Pennsylvania wrestling team grabbing this week's honor.
Mougalian earned his second Ivy League Wrestler of the Week nod this season after he earned a first period pin for Penn in last Monday's win over Virginia in the Palestra.
The junior pushed the Quakers past the Hoos off a pin over Kyle Montaperto in 2:09 to give Penn an 18-16 lead with two matches to go.
Fellow Quakers,
CJ Composto and
Cross Wasilewski, followed Mougalian with wins at their bouts to put the score at its final tally of 24-16.
The Quakers ring in 2026 in the Volunteer State, heading to the Southern Scuffle hosted by Chattanooga starting on Saturday, Jan. 4.
