PHILADELPHIA – The Ivy League announced its wrestling weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, with
Evan Mougalian of the University of Pennsylvania wrestling team grabbing this week's honor.
Mougalian earned Ivy League Wrestler of the Week for the first time in his collegiate career after winning the 133 title at the 2025 PRTC Keystone Classic this past Sunday.
The junior had a stellar 4-0 showing to earn his first collegiate title at 133, recording pins over Hofstra's Gauge Shipp (5:24) and Edinboro's Amonn Ohl (1:32). In the semifinal, he defeated Lock Haven's Gabe Strickland by major decision, 9-1. Mougalian then capped his run with an 11-4 victory against 2024 NCAA All-American #8 Dylan Shawver in the 133-pound final.
Mougalian and the rest of the Quakers return to action on Monday, Dec. 22, hosting Virginia for a 7 p.m. dual inside the Palestra.
