ITHACA, N.Y. – The University of Pennsylvania men's swimming and diving team did not retain its momentum from last week's victory over Brown in Saturday's defeats to host Cornell (171-129) and Princeton (232.5-67.5) at Teagle Pool.
Sophomore
Watson Nguyen claimed Penn's lone event victory in the 100 breaststroke.
Quaker Notemeal
*Nguyen won the 100 breast in 53.65, the Quakers' only first-place finish of the meet.
*
Henry Guo led Penn's runner-up performances, finishing second in the 200 fly with a time of 1:46.99.
*
Peter Whittington added a second-place finish in the 200 breast, clocking 1:56.59. He also tied for second in the 200 IM at 1:49.80, matching Princeton's Lucas Strobek to the wall.

Eddie Jin secured a third-place finish in the 200 free, touching in 1:36.95 as Cornell's Pietro Ubertalli and Princeton's Arthur Balva pushed the pace into the final strokes.
*In the 50 free,
Liam Campbell earned third place with a time of 20.22.
*
James Curreri took third in the 500 free, timing in at 4:30.66.
*On the boards,
Jack Handelman paced Penn in the three-meter event, placing seventh with a score of 254.15.
Victor Dang placed eighth with a score of 228.50.
*Dang also delivered a sixth-place finish in the one-meter dive with a 238.60.
*Penn's 400 free relay of Jin, Campbell,
Ryan McGuirk and
Alex Fu wrapped up the meet with a third-place time of 2:58.01.
*Earlier in the session, the Quakers' 200 medley relay of Jin, Nguyen, Fu and Campbell finished fourth in 1:27.90.
