PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's swimming and diving programs will wrap up their long homestand on Saturday, hosting Brown at Sheerr Pool.
Diving begins at 10 a.m.. while swim competition begins at noon, as the women look to start the 2025-26 campaign 4-0 and the men search for their first victory.

Quaker Notemeal (W)
*The Penn women added four new pool records to the record board following their victory over Columbia, led by
Kayla Fu (200 free),
Kate Levensten (100 back),
Brianna Cong (200 back) and the 200 medley relay (
Amy Qin,
Kate Handley,
Amber Smith, and Fu).
*Swimming a time of 53.78, Levensten broke her own record set just two days prior against Villanova, while Fu has set three pool records in three separate events to begin the year with her time of 1:48.57 in the 200 free.
*Cong won the 200 back with a pool-record mark of 1:59.28 with
Katya Eruslanova coming in second at 2:01.88.
*Along with a pool-record time of 1:48.57 in the 200 free, Fu also emerged victorious in the 100 free with a time of 51.38.
Connie Wang took second at 51.65 while
Olivia Safarikova placed third (52.72).

Anna Moehn swam the 1,000 free for the first time in 2025-26, placing first with a time of 10:02.66, followed by
Anna Boeckman (10:10.63) in second,
Sydney Bergstrom (10:14.74) in third to complete the 1-2-3 Quaker finish.
*Moehn also won the 500 free, timing in at 4:56.83, while Boeckman placed second at 5:02.10.

Kate Handley won the 100 breast with a time od 1:03.43, finishing just in front of
Meredith Holcomb (1:04.15).
*It was another 1-2-3 finish in the 200 fly with
Maggie Hu taking the win with a time of 2:01.49.
Lily Zhang took second (2:03.11) with
Erica Maltsev placing third at 2:05.31.
*Smith placed first in the 50 free, clocking a 23.79.
*Holcomb picked up a victory in the 200 breast at 2:17.42, narrowly topping teammate
Abby Druhan (2:20.48) for second.
*In the diving events, it was
Sophie Slayden who started the evening off with a win in the one meter, scoring a 266.10.
Rachel Yang placed third with a score of 254.62.
Sadie Howard once again prevailed in the three meter, scoring above the 300 mark with a 309.90.
Rachel Yang took second (285.97) with Slayden coming in third (264.07).
*Qin, Handley, Smith, and Fu's 1:41.02 set a new pool record for the 200 medley relay, also taking first place in the event. The team of Cong, Holcomb, Hu, and Wang clocked a 1:44.07 to place runner-up.
Quaker Notemeal (M)
*In Penn's season-opening defeat to Columbia on Saturday in which the Lions emerged victorious, 166-134, the Quakers were led by sophomore transfer
Eddie Jin who took both the 100 and 200 freestyle events.
*Jin led the team with two individual wins, taking the 100 free in 44.53 and the 200 free in 1:36.40, a new pool record-breaking mark. He also anchored the 400 free relay squad (with
Liam Campbell,
Xavier Hill, and
Ryan McGuirk) that placed second in 3:02.67.

Aaron Jia captured the 1000 free with a time of 9:22.71 and later finished third in the 500 free (4:38.44).

Watson Nguyen posted a win in the 100 breast with a time of 53.88.

James Curreri touched first in the 200 back at 1:48.52 and added a runner-up finish in the 100 back (49.48), while teammate
Jeffrey Hou took third in 50.24.

Peter Whittington claimed victory in the 200 breast with a time of 2:00.16 and placed third in the 200 fly (1:50.03), just behind
Henry Guo (1:48.30).
*Guo earned a win in the 200 IM (1:50.43) while adding second-place finishes in both the 200 fly (1:48.30) and 100 fly (48.90).
*The quartet of Jin, Nguyen,
Alex Fu, and
Liam Campbell opened the meet with a victory in the 200-medley relay, pacing the field to earn Penn's first win of the afternoon.
Scouting The Bears
*The Brown women are 2-2 to begin the season, which started on Oct. 31 against Harvard. The Bears have wins over Yale (160-140) and Dartmouth (198-102).
*Last weekend, the Bears split their tri-meet against Princeton and Dartmouth, picking up a victory against the Big Green 198-102. Angelina Chen earned a win in the 100 backstroke, and the Bears featured 13 top-three finishes. The 400-yard free relay team of Isabella Dieffenthaller, Crystal Yuen, Audrey Chung, and Morgan Lukinac took second with a time of 3:24.33.
*The men enter the weekend with an overall mark of 1-2, the same record in Ivy meets. They topped Dartmouth, 157-143, last weekend after falling to both Princeton (219-81) and Yale (193-107).
*Rowland Lawver secured a win in the 1-meter dive with a score of 352.60 and set NCAA Zone A qualifying marks in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives.
*In his first collegiate meet, Rory O'Connor won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:25.10.
