PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team defeated Virginia Tech on Friday, 4-3, in the first-ever meeting between these programs at the Hecht Tennis Center.

Matthew Rutter rallied back down 5-2 to win the match on the tiebreak.
Justin Chung won the first singles match for Penn in consecutive sets at No. 3. After falling in the second set,
Tal Goodman bounced back to take the match, winning the third set, 6-2.
Shaurya Bharadwaj secured the win for the Red and Blue at No. 4, winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
