PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team is back in action twice this week, heading to Newark to kick off against Delaware on Thursday at 6 p.m. and then concluding the week with its home opener at Rhodes Field against Towson on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Penn vs. Delaware
The Quakers and the Blue Hens are meeting for the 18th time, with the series dating back to the 1991 season. Penn is currently leading the series, 11-6. The longest win streak for the Quakers was six games against the Blue Hens from 2011 to 2023, with five out of the six being shutouts.
Penn vs. Towson
The Quakers and the Tigers are meeting for the seventh time with the series starting in 1992. Penn is currently leading the series 4-1. The longest win streak for the Quakers was three games against the Tigers from 2016-2019, with all three ending in shutouts.
Quaker Notemeal
*Penn earned its first tie of the season against Northern Arizona last Thursday in dramatic fashion, sophomore
Leah Finkelman netting a penalty kick with one second left to account for the Quakers' goal. It was the first collegiate goal of her career.
*Junior
Annabel Austen has started in goal for all four matches so far this season. She tallied seven saves between the Quakers' two games in the Grand Canyon State last weekend.
*Senior captain
Maya Leschly and freshman
Eden Veenema worked nonstop, playing the full 90 minutes against Arizona State.
*The Quakers had seven players put up shots against Northern Arizona,
Mia Fuss leading the way with a career-high six shots. She was followed by two shots each from
Lily White and
Leah Finkelman while
Magali Capdevila,
Clare Robke,
Kat Peroulas, and
Eden Veenema all had one shot. In all, the Red and Blue outshot NAU, 14-13.
