PHILADELPHIA – USA Field Hockey has announced the athletes selected for the 2024 Senior and Junior Nexus Championships, and the University of Pennsylvania will be well represented as five current Quakers and three incoming recruits will compete in the events which will run July 14-16 in Virginia Beach, Va.

Meghan McGinley and
Kylie Wall, junior
Julia Ryan, and sophomores
Ellie Almeida and
Sydney Mandato are among the 144 collegiate and post-collegiate athletes invited to the Senior Nexus Championship (NXC), while incoming freshmen
Maxi Aranowitz,
Darcey Chapman and
Megan Frank were among the 100 young women selected for the U-21 Junior NXC.
Announced on June 18, the Senior NXC is held annually and features 144 collegiate and post-collegiate athletes. A step along the Olympic Development Pathways program, the Senior NXC serves as a selection opportunity for the 2024-25 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team Selection Camps, Junior USWNT Selection Camps, U.S. Women's Development Squad, and the U.S. Women's National Team. The event will start with a team training session on July 14 with games on July 15 and 16.
Announced on June 6, the Junior NXC selection marks the completion of the Regional Selection Camp sessions and the next step in the Olympic Development Pathway and tryout process for the Junior U.S. Women's National Teams. At the conclusion of this event on July 16, top performing athletes will be invited to participate in the 2024 AAU Junior Olympic Games and additional Junior USWNT selection opportunities.
