PHILADELPHIA – Anna Kalandadze is headed to Indianapolis! The recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving program punched her ticket to the upcoming Olympic Trials in the 800m and 1500m freestyle events at the SCAR Memorial Day Invitational at Rutgers over the weekend.

On Saturday, Kalandadze swam an 8:43.20 in the 800m to qualify for Trials, while also swimming a Trials cut of 16:43.36 in the 1500m on Sunday.

She will join fellow Penn swimmer Matthew Fallon at U.S. Olympic Trials from June 15-23 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The two will look to represent Team USA at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France July 26-August 11.

Kalandadze impressively wrapped up her Penn career with first-team All-America honors in the 1,650-yard freestyle after swimming an Ivy and program-record mark of 15:47.86 in Athens, Ga. She's a two-time All-American and a four-time Ivy League champion in both the 500 and 1,650 free.
