PHILADELPHIA- The 55th ranked University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team fell to 10th-ranked Columbia, 4-0 Sunday evening from the Hamlin Tennis Center.
Despite two close singles matches that were left unfinished, the Quakers dropped their Ivy League battle with the Lions.
Columbia secured the doubles point with wins at No. 3 and No. 1. At the top slot, Columbia's Theo Winegar/Michael Zheng defeated

Parashar Bharadwaj 6-4. At No. 3, Alex Kotzen/Henry Ruger bested
Kian Vakili/
Tal Goodman 6-3 to pick up the doubles point.
In singles action, A. Kotzen picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win over Vakili at No. 2, extending the lead, 2-0 for the Lions.
At No. 6, Ruger topped Goodman, 6-0, 6-3 to make the match 3-0.
Needing one more victory to secure the match, Hugo Hashimoto defeated Bharadwaj at No. 5 to seal the deal.
Among matches that did not finish,
Matthew Rutter was in the seventh game of his second set at No. 4,
Baylor Sai was in the ninth game of his second set at No. 3, and at No. 1, Graziani was in his seventh game of set two when his match was halted.
With the loss the Quakers drop to 14-10, 0-3 in Ivy play and are 11-4 at home.
