WATCHUNG, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team sits in fifth place after two days at the Ivy League Championship. The three-day, 54-hole event is being played on the par-71 course at Watchung Valley Golf Club.

Penn shot 296 on Saturday and ended the day at 15-over-par 583 overall. That has the Quakers fifth in the seven-team field, 20 strokes off the pace. Princeton is in first place and is the only team under par through two rounds, at 563. Yale shot 2-under-par 282 on Saturday and ended the day in second at even-par 568, followed by Harvard (576) and Columbia (579).
Freshman
Max Fonseca entered Saturday as the individual leader but carded a 75 in the second round, leaving him tied for fifth in the field of 35 golfers at 1-under-par 141. Classmate
Hayden Adams had Penn's best score on Saturday, a 1-over-par 72, and he is ninth through two rounds. Junior
Ben Scott carded a 74 and is 22nd overall,
George Roessler scored with a 75, and
Jimin Jung shaved four strokes off his score from Friday to Saturday.
Princeton's William Huang is the individual leader through Saturday after he carded his second straight 3-under-par 68. He is one shot ahead of Yale's Ben Carpenter (Saturday 68), two ahead of the Bulldogs' Robert You (69), and three ahead of Harvard's Brian Ma (68).

The Ivy League Championship concludes on Sunday with tee times starting at 10 a.m. Penn will play with Columbia with the following start times: Jung at 10:50, Roessler at 11:00, Scott at 11:10, Adams at 11:20, Fonseca at 11:30.
