PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team is in sixth place after the first day of action at the Princeton Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event is taking place on the par-71 course at Springdale Golf Club.

Penn shot 291 on Saturday morning and 299 in the afternoon, ending the day at 22-over-par 590. Among the other Ivy League teams in the field, Harvard and host Princeton are tied atop the 12-team leaderboard at 572 (+4), Dartmouth and Yale are tied for seventh at 591 (+23), Columbia is tenth at 595 (+27), and Cornell is 11th at 598 (+30).
Individually,
Kayden Wang shot a 3-under-par 68 on Saturday morning and followed that up with a 2-over-par 73 in the afternoon, leaving him at 1-under-par 141 heading into Sunday's final round. That has him tied for second among 75 players with Temple's Mason Tome, five shots behind Princeton's Reed Greyserman.
Ryan Chang posted Penn's second-best score in both rounds on Saturday, finishing the day at 73-74—147 which had him tied for 24th in the field.
Hayden Adams carded 74-75 on Saturday to finish the day at 7-over-par 149, tied for 35th, while
Arjun Caprihan also scored for the Quakers in both rounds and ended the day at 153 (+11).
Wesley Hu (162, +20) was the other golfer in Penn's lineup while
Owen Hayes (158, +16) is playing the tournament as an individual.
