#59 Men's Tennis Takes Down Brown at Hamlin, 4-0

PHILADELPHIA- 59th-ranked University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team snapped its four-match losing streak with a 4-0 win over Brown Sunday evening.

The Quakers picked up their first win in Ivy League play to close out home matches for the season.

With the victory the Red and Blue are 15-11 this season, 1-4 in conference play and finish 12-5 at home.

Penn secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. At No. 3, Baylor Sai/Matthew Rutter picked up the 6-1 victory over James Lian/Sam Feldman, and the first slot, Aaron Sandler/Kian Vakili defeated Alex Finkelstein/Alexander Bravo 6-3.

In singles action, Sandler picked up the first win with a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 3 over Chun Lam.

Rutter gave Penn a 2-0 lead with his win at No. 4, 6-4, 6-2 over Lian.

After winning his first set, and falling in set two, Manfredi Graziani came back to win set three, 6-3 (6-2, 3-6, 6-3) at No. 1over Finkelstein to secure the sweep for the Quakers.

Among matches that did not finish, Sai was in the seventh game of his second set at No. 2, Parashar Bharadwaj was in the tenth game of his second set at No. 5, and Tal Goodman was in his fifth game of his second set at No. 6 when his match was halted.
