KINGSTON, N.Y. – The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team tied for third out of 13 teams and was third out of five Ivy League teams in the Roar-EE Invitational on Saturday. The one-day, 36-hole event was hosted by Columbia and played on the course at Wiltwyck Golf Club.

Penn shot 5-under-par 283 as a team in Saturday's morning round, then came back with a 1-over-par 289 in the afternoon. That left the Quakers at 4-under-par 572 for the day, tied with St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC). The host Lions were team champion, carding a two-round 556 which left them at 20 under par and six strokes ahead of second-place Yale (562). Among the other Ivy teams in the 13-team field, Dartmouth (578) was seventh and Cornell (594) was 10th.
Ben Scott and
Max Fonseca both tied for 10th in a field of 75 golfers, finishing the day at 2-under-par 142. Scott shot 70-72 on the day, while Fonseca had the best round by a Penn player on the day (68) and followed that up with a second-round 74.
George Roessler tied for 13th, carding 72-71 to finish the day at 1-under-par 143.
Hayden Adams scored in the afternoon round for Penn and tied for 38th overall (148, +4), and
Jimin Jung scored in the morning round and ended the day tied for 46th (149, +5). Playing as an individual,
Steven Lee carded a two-round 148 (including a second-round, 3-under-par 69) and finished the day at 148 (+4).
Columbia's DJ Francey and Yale's Ben Carpenter were co-medalists on the day, both players finishing the 36-hole event at 7-under-par 137.
