PHILADELPHIA – Freshman
Franka Vidovic continues on in the Holleran East bracket after Friday's action at the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships, which are taking place this weekend at the Arlen Specter Squash Center on Drexel's campus.
Vidovic was one of two players with a first-round bye in the 14-player bracket, then disposed of Stanford's Lucia Bicknell in three games in a quarterfinal (11-2, 11-8, 11-6). As a result, the freshman is scheduled to face Trinity's Janna Ashmawy in a semifinal on Saturday at approximately 1:20 p.m.
The only other Penn women's squash player playing this weekend, freshman
Sohaila Ismail, was in the championship bracket, the Ramsay Cup, but fell in her first-round match to Harvard's Saran Nghiem in three games (11-6, 14-12, 11-3).
