PHILADELPHIA- The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team swept a pair of matches, each at 7-0, against Navy at the Hecht Tennis Centers on Friday afternoon. The Quakers are 5-3, 2-0 at home and have won three straight matches.

In the opening match against Navy, Matthew Rutter and Baylor Sai at No. 2 led Penn with the first win of the day. First-time partners Manfredi Graziani and Luke Butera took the match at No. 3 to solidify the doubles point for the Quakers. The final doubles match was played out, as 41st-ranked Kian Vakili and Aaron Sandler won, 6-3.

In singles action, Vakili grabbed the first singles win for Penn with a 6-2, 6-3 straight set victory at No.2. Graziani won in straight sets at No. 1, and Sai picked up the win at No.4 to clinch the win for the Quakers.

All matches were played out, as Luka Butera won 7-5, 6-0 at No.6, Rutter dominated at No. 5, 6-0, 2-2 and Sandler won in three sets at No. 3, to officially close out the match.

In the 3:00 p.m. battle with the Midshipmen, the Quakers once again set the tone with their doubles play. Vakili and Sandler won 6-1 at No. 1 and Rutter and Sai earned the win at No. 2, 6-1, to secure the doubles point.

In singles play, Tal Goodman was the first to finish, with a 6-0, 6-0 bout at No. 6. Soon after, Sai picked up a straight set win at No. 3 and Rutter clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4.

Once again, all singles matches were concluded, with Vakili earning a win at No. 2, Butera picking up the win at No. 5, and Graziani closing out the day with a three-set victory.

Penn will host another doubleheader this weekend, as the Quakers will welcome Delaware and Saint Joseph's on Saturday. The matchup with the Blue Hens will commence at 12:00 p.m. and the battle with the Hawks will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Hecht Tennis Center.
