Â
*Penn has won eight of the last 10 bouts.

Â
*The Quakers have scored 152 goals in the series, averaging 9.5 per game.
Â
LAST TIME WE MET
*The two squads squared off in Baltimore last season, an instant classic that resulted in a 13-12 overtime victory for Penn.
Â
*
Erika Chung and
Anna Brandt put the final touches on the game. Chung sent the game to overtime with a game-tying goal in the final second of regulation, and Brandt scored the game-winner on a free-position shot in extra time.
Â
*
Bella Kehoe led the offense with a career-high four goals on six shots, all of which were on target.
Â
ABOUT THE BLUE JAYS
*Johns Hopkins has kicked off its season with a 3-1 start including 2-1 against top-25 opponents. They tackled then-No. 21 UAlbany to start the year (14-10) and later knocked off then-No. 25 Duke (17-13), both on the road.
Â
*This past Wednesday, the Blue Jays suffered their first loss of the season to city rival No. 9 Loyola, 17-14.
Â
*A loaded schedule, they are lined up for 12 top-25 matchups this season on a 16-game schedule.
Â
*Averaging 15.5 goals per game, Hopkins is led by Ashley Mackin with 17 points on 12 goals and five assists. The junior midfielder from Westwood, Massachusetts has shot onto the scene this year, nearly eclipsing her 2023 totals just four games into this season. Last year, she finished with 19 goals and 10 assists. However, she was Penn's thorn in the 2023 matchup, putting together a career-high five goals off the bench.
Â
*Back in the net, Madison Doucette has played all but three minutes for the Blue Jays, totaling 39 saves for three wins. On the flip side, she's sporting a 12.39 goals-against average with 49 goals given up.
Â
PENN'S LAST TIME OUT
*For the 11th straight year, the Quakers were victorious in their season opener, toppling Drexel at Franklin Field on Saturday, 11-8.
Â
*Led by reigning Ivy League Attacker of the Year
Niki Miles, the Quakers jumped out on the Dragons, 5-1, in the second quarter and never looked back.
Â
*Miles led the team with four points on a hat trick of goals and an assist, while Chung matched the four points on a game-high four helpers.
Â
*In her first game back since 2022,
Keeley Block notched a pair of goals including a behind-the-back finish.
Â
*Brandt and
Kaitlyn Cumiskey both added two goals.
Â
*Freshman
Catherine Berkery capitalized on her first collegiate start with a goal and an assist.
Â
QUAKER NOTEMEAL
*Penn returns practically a complete 2023 roster outside of
Kennon Moon to graduation, including Ivy League major award winners in Miles, Brandt and
Izzy Rohr. The trio has garnered several preseason All-America honors from Inside Lacrosse and US Lacrosse.
Â
*On top of a large returning group, the Quakers secured two transfers:
Grace Turner (Stanford) and
Carli Fleisher (Northwestern).
Â
*Joining the Red & Blue for their first collegiate season is a class of eight freshmen, hailing from six different states.
Â
*The Quakers will be led by four captains this season: Miles, Rohr,
Maria Themelis, and
Morgan Smith.
Â
*Head coach
Karin Corbett is in her 25th season at the helm, owning 255 of the program's 408 wins.
Â
*Penn is coming off a 14-5 record in 2023, nailing a perfect Ivy League record of 7-0 en route to the program's 14th title. After hosting and rolling through the Ivy League tournament to earn the Quakers' 16th berth to the NCAA tournament, they advanced to the second round for the first time since 2018 before falling in a tight game to national runner-up Boston College, currently No. 2 in the nation.
Â
*The Ivy League announced its preseason media poll, as Penn was selected a unanimous pick to repeat as conference champion. The Quakers scooped all 16 first-place votes for 128 points.
