This year features a tough non-conference slate headlined by an opening-season trip to Florida State and then a visit to Troy in the following series. Matchups against familiar regional foes Delaware, Lafayette, Lehigh, and Villanova return as well as the Liberty Bell Classic, which opens in March against Saint Joseph's.
Penn will play 18 games at Tommy Lasorda Field at Meiklejohn Stadium this year, headlined by an eight-game homestand from April 16-27.
"We couldn't be more excited to kick off our 2025 season with a challenging series against ACC powerhouse Florida State," said
John Yurkow, the W. Joseph Blood Head Coach of Baseball. "They had a great run in the College World Series last year and those matchups are always great opportunities for us to test ourselves early and set the tone for the rest of the year.
"After some early tests in the non-conference slate including a matchup against Troy, an NCAA regional team in 2023, we dive right into another tough Ivy League schedule. Our goal this year is to keep pushing forward and continue to build on the success we have had over these last three seasons."
The Quakers head to Tallahassee Feb. 21-23 for a three-game set against Florida State at Dick Howser Stadium. This will be the program's first-ever meeting against the Seminoles, who finished as a national semifinalist at the 2024 College World Series in Omaha.
Penn stays down south for a three-game series at Troy Feb. 28-March 1 before coming back to Philadelphia for the home opener on March 7 against Delaware. That matchup will be a home-and-home set as the Blue Hens host the next two March 8-9.
Rutgers renews its series with Penn in a mid-week battle on March 11. It will be the 50th meeting between the two teams with the Quakers holding a 36-13 edge all-time.
The Red and Blue head to Easton, Pa. for a three-game series at Lafayette March 15-16 and visit Bethlehem just three days later for a single game with Lehigh at J. David Walker Field on March 19.
Ivy League play begins March 22-23 at Tommy Lasorda Field for a three-game set against Harvard and then the Liberty Bell Classic commences against SJU on March 25.
Penn will head to the Granite State for a three-game series against Dartmouth March 29-30 and then finish out Liberty Bell Classic action at Tommy Lasorda Field against either Lafayette or Delaware.
The four-game homestand continues April 5-6 against Princeton at home before hitting the Main Line and facing Villanova on April 9.
It'll be a rematch of the 2024 Ivy League Championship Series when Penn heads to Ithaca to take on Cornell April 12-13, which is the final road trip before an eight-game homestand against Monmouth (April 16), Yale (April 19-20), Rider (April 23), and Columbia (April 26-27).
The Quakers close the regular season with three games at Brown May 2-3.
The third-annual Ivy League Tournament will take place May 16-18, hosted by the regular-season champion. The NCAA regional is set to occur May 30 to June 2.
Penn ended the 2024 campaign with an overall record of 24-25, going 11-10 in Ivy play before entering the Ivy League Tournament as the No. 4 seed. After falling to Cornell in Game 4, the Quakers battled all the way back through the loser's bracket, beat Princeton, and swept Cornell on the final day to win their second consecutive crown and berth into the NCAA Regional. Penn fell to host Virginia and St. John's to bow out early in the Charlottesville Regional.
