PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team continued Ivy League competition on Friday afternoon, falling to Brown (167-133) and beating Bryant (250-50), at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
Freshman
Kayla Fu wowed the home crowd with three first-place finishes to pace the Quakers, including a school record—Penn's first of the year—in the 100-yard butterfly.
Quaker Notemeal
*Fu's quick time of 53.19 in the 100 fly sets the Quakers' school record in the event previously held by Monika Burzynska (53.49; 2019). Fu also picked up wins in the 50-yard freestyle (23.18) and 100 free (50.13), finishing the day as Penn's first three-time event winner in a single meet this year.

Meredith Holcomb also claimed victory in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:18.99.
Abby Druhan came in third place at 2:20.63.

Anna Moehn took the win in the 1,000 free (10:10.71) with
Sydney Bergstrom coming in second (10:16.25) and
Anna Boeckman in third (10:16.48). Moehn also tied for first in the 500 free with a time of 4:56.62.
*The 200-medley relay team of
Amy Qin,
Kate Handley,
Maggie Hu, and Fu swam a 1:42.04 to place first.
*On the diving board,
Sadie Howard won the three-meter dive with a score of 268.10.
Sophie Slayden placed second at 251.95. Howard took third place in the one-meter dive (262.60).

Vanessa Chong earned a second-place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 2:03.14 while
Joy Jiang clocked a 2:03.31 to finish third.
*Qin took third place in the 100 back (55.79).
*Handley got herself a third-place finish in the 100 breast, swimming a 1:05.30.

Erica Maltsev timed in at 2:06.38 in the 200 IM to finish in third position.
*The 400 free relay consisted of
Amber Smith, Hu, Moehn, and Qin where they swam a 3:37.60 to take third place.
