The Penn vs Harvard Series
*The all-time series between these two teams is nearly tied, with the Quakers having a slight 40-39-5 advantage heading into the weekend.
*Penn holds the last win in the series, as Harvard fell 2-1 in University City last year on ESPNU.
*Harvard dominates at home against the Quakers, holding a 22-12-4 record in New England.
Quaker Notemeal
*The Quakers fell a bit in this week's NCAA men's soccer rankings, heading to Cambridge as the #25 team in the country.
*Penn opened Ivy League action with a 1-0 shutout over Columbia last weekend. The Quakers outshot the Lions 17-1 in the match.
*Freshman
Romeo Dahlen scored his collegiate goal in the Ivy battle with Columbia, scoring the match-winner in the 52nd minute to lift the Quakers to a 1-0 league record.
*Goalkeeper
Phillip Falcon III is a force in the league, leading the conference in shutouts per game (5), save percentage (.783), and goals-against average (.625).
*Forward
Stas Korzeniowski sits second among the Ivies in shots on goal, averaging 2.57 per match. Korzeniowski also holds second in goals (5), shots on goal (2.5), and shots (38).
*Falcon and defender
Leo Burney have had a strong presence in all eight matches, playing the full 720 minutes.
*Penn landed the top spot in the 2024 Ivy League men's soccer preseason poll announced back in August. The Quakers earned the favored spot with 115 points and seven first-place votes after ending last season as the Ivy League regular season champions with a 4-1-2 league record.
Scouting the Crimson
*The Crimson won their first game of the season this past Tuesday, topping Merrimack 3-1 at home.
*Dylan Tellado leads Harvard in goals and co-leads the offense in points (6) with Marko Isakovic.
*Harvard fell last weekend in its Ivy League opener, dropping a 2-0 contest to Princeton.
*The Quakers will probably face Lucian Wood in goal this weekend in Cambridge. The goalkeeper holds a 1.75 save percentage and a .682 GAA.
