REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team took fifth place out of ten teams at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event concluded Sunday on the par-72 course at Rehoboth Beach Country Club.

The Quakers shot 299 and 293 on Saturday and followed up with a 300 on Sunday to finish the weekend at 28-over-par 892. Tournament host Delaware was the team champion, the Blue Hens shooting 881 over the three rounds to best second-place Quinnipiac (882) by a stroke. The other Ivy team in the field, Yale, was fourth (888).
Individually, sophomore
Madeleine Zang finished sixth in a field of 65 golfers as she shot 71-72-73 across her three rounds to finish at even-par 216 for the weekend. Junior
Julie Shin was right behind her, carding even-par 72 in the second and third rounds to finish tied for seventh at 2-over-par 218. Freshman
Claire Lu (t-26th, 229), junior
Bridget O'Keefe (t-37th, 232) and
Debby Chang (t-40th, 233) rounded out Penn's lineup.
Chelsea Nguyen and
Natalie Cao were in the field as individuals, Nguyen tying for 21st at 10-over-par 226 and Cao finishing 25th at 12-over-par 228.
UD's Alisa Khokhlova was the individual medalist, carding 5-under-par 211 to finish one stroke ahead of Georgetown's Georgia Ruffolo and two ahead of Quinnipiac's Samantha Galantini and Harvard's Vanessa Zhang.
