GRASONVILLE, Md. – The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team is tied for first place out of 12 teams after the first day at The Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay. The two-day, 54-hole event is taking place on the par-72 course at Prospect Bay Country Club.

Penn shot 22-over-par 310 in Saturday's only round, tying Sacred Heart atop the team leaderboard. The other Ivy League team in the field, Dartmouth, is third at 312 (+24), two shots off the pace. Fairfield is nine strokes behind the Big Green in fourth.
Five Penn players are in the top-10 among the 71 golfers in the field heading into Sunday's final round. Senior
Bridget O'Keefe carded a 4-over-par 76 which has her tied for fourth in the field, just two strokes off the lead. Sophomore
Claire Lu shot 5-over-par 77 and is tied for sixth, while
Maggie Ni (78, +6) is tied for eighth and
Mi Li and
Julie Shin are among five golfers tied for tenth at 7-over-par 79.
Chelsea Nguyen (83, +11) rounded out the Quakers' lineup in the six-play/four-score event.
Dartmouth's Sophie Thai is atop the individual leaderboard after Saturday's first round; she carded a 2-over-par 74 which has her a stroke up on Sacred Heart's Nahia Paulerena and Wagner's Palwasha Ali.
