PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team finished third at the Temple Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole event took place at The 1912 Club and concluded Sunday.

Penn shot 285 in Saturday's first round and followed that up with a 289 on Sunday to end the weekend at 14-over-par 574. Drexel was the team champion, carding a two-round 566 which was six strokes ahead of second-place Rider and eight strokes ahead of the Quakers. Temple was fourth, one stroke behind Penn. The other Ivy League teams in the field, Cornell and Dartmouth, were 11th and 13th, respectively.
Penn was led by its two freshmen this weekend.
Hayden Adams carded a first-round 67 and ended the weekend at 5-over-par 145, tying for 13th in a field of 78 golfers.
Max Fonseca, meanwhile, shot a pair of 73s to end the weekend tied for 18th at 146. Junior
John Richardson also shot 146 on the weekend, going 71-75, while senior
Jimin Jung had the Quakers' low round on Sunday (3-under-par 67) and was a shot behind Fonseca and Richardson at 147 overall, tying for 22nd. Junior
Ben Scott rounded out the Penn lineup and scored in both rounds at 74-74—148, tying for 31st. Sophomore
Steven Lee played the tournament as an individual and carded a two-round 158.
Lehigh's David Hurly took medalist honors, shooting 72-66 to finish at 2-under-par 138 which had him one shot ahead of Drexel's Oscar Maxfield and two ahead of Rider's Ben Ortwein.

Penn will compete in the Hamptons Intercollegiate, a two-day, 54-hole event that will be hosted October 2-3 by Loyola (Md.) at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton, N.Y.
