PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania track and field teams opened day one of the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships on Saturday at Franklin Field, securing several points including a championship in the 10K while qualifying for countless track finals on Sunday.

Maeve Stiles put together 10 points for day, ending the night with a victory in the 10,000m. The day was also highlighted by a program-record time in the 110m hurdles preliminary, as
Shane Gardner clocked a time of 13.91.
