PHILADELPHIA – In an all-Philadelphia battle pitting the University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team's 19-match home win streak against Temple's 16-match win streak, it was the Quakers who came out victorious in a back-and-forth 4-3 affair Wednesday afternoon from Hamlin Tennis Center.
The Owls, carrying the nation's longest winning streak coming in, took a 1-0 lead with doubles wins at No. 2 and No. 3.
Penn got on the board with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win from
Harsh Parikh, playing at No. 3 singles for just the third time this Spring. After Temple went back in front 2-1,
Baylor Sai picked up a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 6.
Edoardo Graziani followed Sai with a three-set win at No. 1, putting the Quakers in front for the first time in the match.
After Temple leveled things at 3-all,
Manfredi Graziani took a straight-set battle at No. 4 – just his third time playing in that spot this Spring --, clinching Penn's first 4-3 victory of the season.

Penn will look to ride the momentum of Wednesday's win into the start of Ivy League play on Saturday, when they hit the road for a 2:00 first serve with Princeton.
