PHILADELPHIA – In their first home match in a month, the University of Pennnsylvania men's tennis team picked up a 5-2 victory Sunday afternoon over Charlotte at the Hamlin Tennis Center.
Manfredi Graziani and
Aditya Gupta won 6-2 in the opening doubles match of the day at No. 3. In just their second match as a doubles team this Spring and their first match at No. 2,
Zachery Lim and
Harsh Parikh won 6-2, clinching the early point for Penn.
After his doubles match was halted,
Edoardo Graziani made it 2-0 Penn, double-bageling his opponent en route to a dominant victory at No. 1. (Manfredi) Graziani followed with a close straight-set victory, staking Penn to a 3-0 lead. In the first of four three-set matches to go final, Gupta clinched the match for the Quakers at No. 3.
The 49ers picked up a pair of wins over the final three matches, with Parikh closing the day out with a win at No. 4.
