SERIES AGAINST LA SALLE
*The Quakers are meeting the Explorers for the fourth time in program history, owning a perfect 3-0 record that dates to the 2000 season.

*Two of the three matchups have taken place at Franklin Field with Penn outscoring La Salle by a total of 34-17.

*In the all-time series, the Quakers have scored 46 goals (15.3 per game).

LAST TIME WE MET
*The two squads squared off at Franklin Field during the 2021 season that only consisted of that game due to the ongoing pandemic. The Quakers won the bout, 16-11.

*In her final collegiate game, Zoe Belodeau showed out with a six-point performance including five goals to reach 100 in her career. She became the 13th player in program history to reach the milestone.

Kennon Moon also had a six-point day with four goals and two assists, while pulling in nine draws.

*The Quakers went 22-for-22 on clears, while holding La Salle to 18-for-25.

ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
*La Salle opened its season last weekend at Iona, falling to the Gaels, 11-8.

*Maddie Henderson and Alana Lathan each scored a pair of goals for the Explorers, while Julia Dellaratta pulled in nine saves.

*The Explorers start their season with three road games, but two remain close by with the Quakers on Saturday and Villanova next Wednesday.

*With reference to the current IWLCA ranking, La Salle has two top-25 matchups lined up for the season, both in A-10 play. They take on #23 UMass on the road on March 22, and travel to #21 Richmond on April 8.

QUAKER NOTES
*The Quakers have won their last nine season openers. Last year, they defeated Delaware 15-4 to start the 2022 campaign.

*A typical Penn lacrosse schedule, the team is lined up for a competitive 2023 campaign that includes seven top-25 opponents according to the IWLCA preseason ranking. Following the game against the Explorers, Penn will hit the road for five straight games including games at #18 Johns Hopkins, #9 Loyola Maryland, and #19 Jacksonville. They'll also take on #7 Florida on the road, while hosting #2 Maryland, #22 Yale, and #16 Princeton.

*The matchups against Jacksonville and Florida will be the first trips for the Quakers to the Sunshine State in program history. Â

*Penn returns nine of its top 10 scorers from last season, six of whom had 20-plus points led by senior
Niki Miles with 34 (15 goals, 19 assists).

Anna Brandt and
Keeley Block return after a successful first season in 2022, playing in all 15 games and leading the team in scoring. Brandt paced the offense with 24 goals, while Block added 21.

*The Quakers return their three top draw specialists as well.
Kennon Moon had the team lead of 78 last year, while Brandt (44) and Katelyn Cumiskey (35) combined for 79 more.
