HAVERFORD, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania cross country teams had a handful of Quakers compete on Thursday evening at the Haverford Invitational, led by a women's victory including an individual win for
Anastasia Russell for the first time in her collegiate career.

The women's team collected 21 points to take the team win for the evening, as Russell clocked a winning time of 17:17.1 on the three-mile course. She was followed by two other Quakers in the top three spots, as
Chloe Hassman took second with a time of 17:36.1 and
Sarah Fischer followed with a time of 18:02.5.

On the men's side,
Sebastian Pizarro led the Quaker field with a seventh-place finish on a time of 21:07.0 on the four-mile course.
Brian Gent rounded out the top 10 with a time of 21:19.2.

The Quakers turn their focus to Saturday, traveling back up to Boston for the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships held at Franklin Park. The women kick things off at 11 a.m., while the men follow at noon. The event can be watched on ESPN+.
