PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania track and field teams wrapped up the 2022 Penn Relays presented by Toyota on Saturday, setting a new program record and winning two events.

The men set a new program mark in the 4xMile Championship of America, taking sixth overall with a time of 16:18.83.
James Lee ran the first leg, followed by
Ray Sellaro,
Michael Keehan, and
Justin Cornetta on the anchor.

Marc Minichello won the javelin college championship with a new personal record of 77.42 meters to remain at No. 2 in program history. The other victory came in the women's 4x800 college final. Olivia Baski,
Chloe Hassman,
Caroline O'Sullivan, and
Bronwyn Patterson stormed to a time of 8:44.81 to take the win and take home a small wheel.

The Quakers scored five other top 10 finishes on Saturday. On the men's side,
James Rhoads and Benedikt Sachta had successful days in the pole vault championship. Rhoads earned fourth with a clearance of 5.12m, while Sachta took eighth at 4.82m. On the track, the men took 10th in the 4x800 Championship of America with a time of 7:35.17.

Mason Gatewood all ran legs in the race.

On the women's side,
Kirstin West took seventh in the javelin with a throw of 46.91m. Back on the infield,
Tamara Grahovac earned eighth with a jump of 12.24m.

The Quakers head into the postseason next weekend, traveling to Yale for the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships. The two-day event kicks off on Saturday, May 7.
