PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The University of Pennsylvania softball wrapped up its weekend series with a 3-0 victory in the series finale.
Bella Fiorentino went the distance as she allowed two hits on the day. All three of Penn's runs came on solo shots. With the win Penn improved to 7-16 overall and 3-3 in Ivy play.
Penn 3, Brown 0
Julia Mortimer got Penn on the board with a solo shot in the second inning. Her second of the season.
Sarah Schneider touched up Brown pitching for a pair of solo home runs in the third and fifth innings to give Penn a 3-0 lead.
Fiorentino went the distance allowing just two hits. She did not allow a hit for the first 4.1 innings.

- Penn hit three home runs on Sunday brining its total to 11 in its past eight games as Sarah Schneider hit two solo shots in the third and fifth innings and Julia Mortimer hit a solo shot in the second inning for her second of the season.
- S. Schneider had her second multi-homer game on the season as she now has six total home runs in 2022.
- Fiorentino went the distance pitching seven innings allowing just two hits while striking out five and walking three.
- Mortimer went 2-for-3 on the day to extend her hit streak to seven games.

Penn hosts Lehigh on Wednesday for a doubleheader. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 3 p.m. Next weekend, Penn welcomes Cornell to Philadelphia for a three-game series with the Big Red. All five games next week will be played at Penn Park.
