PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's rowing team will kick off the spring portion of its 2021-22 schedule on Sunday, competing in the Doc Hosea Invitational. The 18-team event will take place on the Cooper River in nearby Cherry Hill, N.J.
Penn will row a trio of Eights and two Fours on Sunday.
"This is an enormous season-opening regatta, with 18 competing universities," said head coach
Wesley Ng. "Five of the competing teams were NCAA competitors in 2021 and the rest of the field is excellent. The regatta is named after Dr. Tim Hosea who was a longtime US National Rowing team doctor and supporter. We are honored to row in his honor and memory."
