PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania men's swimming and diving team concluded action at the 2022 Ivy League Championships on Friday at DeNunzio Pool on the campus of Princeton University.
The Quakers finished third place with a score of 1,066 points after 21 events. Harvard won the team title with 1,596 total points.
William Kamps was eighth in the 1650 free with a time of 15:13.63 while
Michael Foley finished 10th at 15:18.86.
Billy Fallon came in 12th thanks to posting a time of 15:25.15.
Daniel Gallagher earned Second Team All-Ivy honors with a second-place finish in the 200 back thanks to touching at 1:43.10 in the A Final.
Keanan Dols was sixth with a time of 1:44.53.
Mark McCrary won the B Final of the 200 back at 1:44.12 while
Zachariah Althoff was eighth in the C Final with a time of 1:51.45.
Ben Feldman was seventh in the A Final of the 100 free with a time of 44.03.
Jack Hamilton finished eighth in the B Final of the 100 free at 45.40.
Matthew Fallon captured his first career Ivy League title with a victory in the A Final of the 200 breast courtesy of posting a new pool and meet record time of 1:51.44. He has NCAA A Cut times in both the 100 and 200 breast.
Neil Simpson finished fifth in the A Final of the 200 breast with a time of 1:55.36 and he was followed closely by
Jason Schreiber (1:55.63) in sixth.
Andrew Dai was eighth in the A Final of the 200 fly with a time of 1:47.53.
Sam Donchi came in second in the B Final of the 200 fly at 1:46.55.
The Penn divers had a strong showing in the B Final of the 3M with three Quakers scoring.
Cody Hopkins finished in fourth with a score of 307.95 and he was followed by
Jack Williams (292.45) in fifth and
Trevor Nelson (273.40) in seventh.
To close out the event, the Penn quartet of
Ben Feldman,
Billy Fallon,
William Kamps and
Mark McCrary came in eighth in the 400 free relay with a time of 2:58.50.
