How It Happened
A slow first half brought in the excitement of an entertaining second half. In the first two quarters, the squads combined for five shots.

The third quarter, the tides changed. Less than five minutes into the restart, Banks stepped up into the circle when the Quakers were awarded a penalty stroke. For the second time this season, Penn scored on the stroke to take the 1-0 lead.

Into the final frame, the Quakers put an insurance goal on the scoreboard with almost 10 minutes left in the contest. Clean transition up the left side of the field, Sophie Freedman sent a pass into the circle to Ward, who turned and put the ball in the back of the cage.
