The Series with Cornell
Friday's matchup marks the 45th time the two programs have clashed on the turf, as the Quakers maintain a 28-14-2 lead in the series. Penn is riding a six-game winning streak against the Big Red, with two of those games taking place in Ithaca. Through 44 games, the Quakers have scored 101 goals, averaging 2.3 per game.

Last Time We Met
Penn hosted Cornell in 2021 at Ellen Vagelos Field, securing a 2-1 overtime victory in Ivy League play. The Big Red had the early lead, scoring less than eight minutes into the game. However, the Quakers responded seven minutes later with an Olivia Kenny finish off the pass by Gracyn Banks. The game needed more than 60 minutes to decide the victor, and Penn took the stab in the first overtime to extend its win streak to six against Cornell. Lis Zandbergen found Meghan Ward for the game-winning goal in the 70th minute. All scorers and contributors on those goals are on the rosters for the two squads this season.

About The Big Red
Cornell enters Friday's game with a 6-3 record, 2-0 in Ivy play, and riding a four-game winning streak. In that stretch, they have defeated Dartmouth (3-1), Colgate (3-1), Columbia (3-1), and most recently Bucknell (3-0). The Big Red have played two nationally ranked opponents this season, falling 3-0 to No. 6 Penn State and No. 7 Michigan. They are led by defender Caroline Ramsey with six goals this season, placing her fourth in the Ivy League. She also leads the league in defensive saves with four, just one ahead of Banks.

Penn's Last Time Out
The Quakers earned their shutout victory of the season on Sunday, downing LIU on a rain-filled day at Ellen Vagelos Field, 2-0. In her first collegiate start, Livia Loozen scored her first career goal four minutes into the game and followed with her first career assist on the second finish, put away by Ward. Courtney Kenah sent the assist to Loozen on the game-winner, moving her point total to a team-leading nine off four goals and an assist. Frederique Wollaert tended the cage for the full 60 minutes, making two saves for her second clean sheet of the season and her career.

Quaker Notemeal
