CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Edoardo Graziani and Kevin Zhu became the first University of Pennsylvania men's tennis players to capture an ITA Regional/Super Regional championship with a win in the doubles final on Monday, capping a successful weekend for the Quakers.

Having already qualified for the Fall National Championships in San Diego with a semifinal win Sunday, Graziani and Zhu dropped a close opening set to Columbia's Theo Winegar and Max Westphal, 7-5, before roaring back to even the match with a 6-1 second set win. As they did in their semifinal win on Sunday, Graziani and Zhu came out on top in a close tiebreaker, 10-8, to capture the championship.

On the singles side of the event, Aditya Gupta picked up a pair of wins, including a comeback victory over the #5 seed Ronan Jachuck of Harvard, before falling in the quarterfinals to #1 seed Alex Kotzen of Columbia. Graziani, pulling double duty at the event, fell in the Round of 16 to Harvard's Marc Ktiri.

The first Penn men's tennis players (singles or doubles) to qualify for Fall Nationals, Graziani and Zhu will head to San Diego for the season's final event running November 2-6.
