PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis concluded the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional from the Hamlin/Hecht Tennis Centers over the weekend. The Red and Blue had eight players compete at the event.

Four Quakers doubles teams were in action, with three picking up at least one win. The freshmen pair of Manfredi Graziani and Matthew Rutter won three matches and fell one win short of a berth in the Harvard-hosted Super Regional in two weeks while the Sameer Gangoli/Tal Goodman and Baylor Sai/Zach Smith teams each picked up a win before falling to teams from Princeton and Cornell, respectively.

In singles action, Graziani, Rutter, Smith and Zachery Lim all picked up wins. Lim and Smith both dropped the opening set before rallying for three-set wins in their matches; Graziani and Rutter won their matches in straight sets.

ITA Super Regionals will take place from the campus of Harvard October 21-24, with the Fall Nationals taking place from San Diego November 2-6.
