The Series with Columbia
Dating back to 1973, the two programs sit at a 12-12 tie in the all-time series. In the last four meetings, they have traded victories, Penn winning its two games at home and Columbia doing the same. Looking back over the past 16 matchups back to 2004, nine of the games have gone to extra time.

Last Time We Met
In 2019 in New York, the Quakers and Lions put on an offensive show with 11 total goals that went to overtime. Meghan Ward and Elita Van Staden were both a part of that, as well as Erin Quinn. Ward scored the first goal of the game in the 15th minute, while Van Staden scored early in the third quarter and again in the closing minute to send the game to overtime. Unfortunately, the Lions put away the deciding goal in the first two minutes of extra time to take the 6-5 decision.

About Columbia
The Lions enter Friday's matchup with a 7-7 overall record, 1-4 in the Ivy League. Last weekend, they registered their first Ivy win, topping Dartmouth on the road, 2-1, before dropping a 3-2 decision at New Hampshire on Sunday. The team is led offensively by Sophie Rockefeller and Kelsey Farkas with 14 and 12 points, respectively, while four Lions have posted four goals each to lead that category. In the cage, Alexa Conomikes has played every minute for Columbia, making 89 saves with a 1.93 goals-against average.

The Series with Temple
The Owls hold a 26-15 edge over Penn in the all-time series, but the Quakers have been on a hot streak since the 2015 season. Over the span of five years, Penn is riding a five-game win streak against the Owls, outscoring Temple, 14-4, with two 3-0 shutouts.

Last Time We Met
The Quakers traveled across town to the Owls in 2019, grinding out a 2-1 victory. In a come-from-behind win, now-captains Madison Jiranek and Maddy Fagan scored goals in the second half to give Penn the decision.

About Temple
The Owls are 7-9 entering the weekend, 3-3 in the Big East. It'll be a two-game weekend for Temple, hosting UConn in a league matchup on Friday at noon, looking to snap a five-game skid and score its first goal in over 234 minutes of play. Julianne Kopec paced the offense with 10 points on five goals this season.

Quaker Notemeal
*Ward has been on an offensive tear in October, scoring in each of the last three Ivy matchups, all of which were game winners. Last Saturday against Yale, she posted a career-high five points on two goals and an assist, having a hand in all three goals of the 3-1 victory.

*Ward leads the team in scoring with 12 points on five goals and two assists, while Julia Russo has seven points on three goals and an assist.

*From the backline, Gracyn Banks and Van Staden have made their presence known in the offensive side, as Banks sits with six points with two goals and two assists and Van Staden leads the team in helpers with three.

*Penn sports a 6-7 record heading into its Friday tilt with all seven losses coming to top-25 opponents: No. 1 North Carolina, No. 5 Louisville, No. 9 Saint Joseph's, No. 12 Syracuse, No. 12 Harvard, No. 17 Princeton, and No. 23 Delaware.

*Sabien Paumen has started in the cage all 13 games this season, making 63 saves for six victories and two shutouts. She currently ranks third in the league in saves and saves per game (4.85).
