The Columbia-Cornell Trip
• Penn has made this trip 60 times previously; the Quakers have swept the weekend 23 times, split it 27 times, and been swept 10 times.
• Penn has split this trip six of the last seven years, but last year was the only time among those six that the loss came at Cornell.
• Penn swept this trip two years ago, the last time the Quakers started the weekend with Columbia and finished it with Cornell.
• The last time Penn was swept on this weekend was the 2010-11 season.
The Penn-Columbia Series
• The Quakers and the Lions are meeting for the 236th time, with Penn holding a 143-92 lead in the series.
• Penn and Columbia split the season series last year, the road team winning both games. The Quakers beat the Lions in New York, 72-70, and then Columbia avenged the loss 20 days later with a 79-77 overtime win at The Palestra.
• Penn has won its last two games here at Levien Gym, the first time that has happened since the Red and Blue won four in a row from 2002-05;
the current streak also ended a five-game losing streak at Levien Gym.
The Penn-Cornell Series
• The Quakers and Big Red are meeting for the 233rd time overall, with Penn holding a 157-75 lead in the series.
• Penn and Cornell split the season series last year, the Big Red using a big second half to earn an 80-71 win in Ithaca before the Quakers shut them down 22 days later at The Palestra, 68-50.
• Prior to last season, Penn had won 11 in a row over Cornell and had won seven in a row at Newman Arena dating back to the 2011-12 season.
A Sort of Homecoming
Saturday night will be a reunion in Ithaca, as Cornell will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its 2009-10 team which won the Ivy League title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16. That Big Red squad, of course, was coached by current Penn coach
Steve Donahue and the Quakers' associate head coach,
Nat Graham, was an assistant on Donahue's staff.

Freshman guard
Jordan Dingle earned his fifth Ivy League Rookie of the Week honor after solid performances in Penn's sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth last weekend at The Palestra. In Friday's 75-72 overtime win over the Crimson, Dingle scored 15 points and grabbed three rebounds as the Quakers snapped Harvard's 10-game win streak in overtime games which was the nation's longest. On Saturday, the freshman guard had 13 points and four boards in the Red and Blue's 54-46 victory over the Big Green.
Penn MBB by the Numbers
0 • Games lost by Penn when leading at halftime this season (8-0); also the number of games won by the Quakers when trailing at halftime (0-7).
2 • Of Penn's last 15 games, the number in which senior guard
Devon Goodman has not reached double figures in scoring (9 points at Providence on Nov. 23, 8 vs. Saint Joseph's on Jan. 18).
2 • Points by senior guard
Ryan Betley last Saturday vs. Dartmouth, his lowest scoring game since he had two here at Columbia on Feb. 16, 2018.
5 • Games (out of the 15 in which he has played) that freshman guard
Jordan Dingle has reached at least 20 points.
9 • Double-doubles by
AJ Brodeur this season, after he had 19 points and tied a season high with 14 rebounds on January 25 vs. Temple;
that is the most by a Penn player in a season since Darien Nelson-Henry had nine in 2015-16.
11 • Penn players who have recorded at least one double-figure scoring game during their career; that includes six players with at least one game of 20 or more points and five with double-doubles (
Brodeur,
Betley,
Eddie Scott,
Bryce Washington,
Lucas Monroe).

Dingle in Penn's last four games (Saint Joseph's, Temple, Harvard);
of his 219 points this season, 64 have come in the first half while 155 have come after halftime.

Penn has won three games this season when taking at least 23 fewer field-goal attempts than its opponent (27 fewer in a win over UCF on Nov. 28, 23 fewer in a win over Temple on Jan. 25).
28 • Career double-doubles by
Brodeur, most by a Penn player since Tony Price had 32 such games during his three-year varsity career from 1977-79.

39 • Two-point baskets scored by

89.9 • Percentage of Penn's points that have been scored either by members of the senior class (60.2 percent) or members of the freshman class (29.7).
