PHILADELPHIA - USRowing has announced its roster for the 2019 World Rowing Championships, and the University of Pennsylvania lightweight crew program will be represented by assistant coach Tyler Nase as well as recent graduate Jasper Liu ENG'17. Nase qualified for the U.S. National Team by winning single sculls at the Trials, while Liu made the team as a member of the winning lightweight men's quadruple sculls at Trials.

The 2019 World Rowing Championships will take place from August 25 to September 1 in Linz, Austria.

"It is extremely exciting to see Tyler and Jasper make the National Team," said Colin Farrell, Penn's head coach and the reigning Ivy League and EARC Lightweight Coach of the Year. "Having both represent the United States and Penn in competition is a real source of pride for our squad. The team has been watching how hard these guys have been training here in Philadelphia and will be cheering along with the racing in Austria."
