PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania field hockey team continues its Ivy League slate with a trip to Hanover for a game against Dartmouth on Saturday.
Penn will look to bounce back with a win in Ivy League play after a narrow, 2-1 loss to No. 12 Harvard last weekend. The Quakers sit at 5-5 overall with a 1-1 Ivy record.

Previewing Penn
*Penn has set up one of the toughest schedules in program history, with eight of its 17 games coming against opponents ranked in the current NFHCA Coaches poll. North Carolina (No. 1), Princeton (No. 5), Iowa (No. 10), Harvard (No. 11), Syracuse (No. 13), Saint Joseph's (No. 14), Wake Forest (No. 16) and Delaware (No. 20) have all received votes as of the Oct. 2 edition of the rankings.
*Penn returns seven starters and 17 letter winners from the 2017 squad and welcome nine freshmen to the roster in 2018. Among the returners are two All-Ivy selections: senior Paige Meily and junior Alexa Schneck. Both players are two-time All-Ivy selections.
*Schneck leads the Quakers in all offensive categories. She has 11 points from four goals and three assists this season. She has 11 goals and nine assists for her career. Schneck has six career game-winning goals after opening the scoring for the Quakers against Temple.
*Senior Rachel Mirkin has posted her best goal-scoring season with Penn, tallying three goals. Two of those goals were game-winners, in a 1-0 2OT victory over No. 14 Wake Forest and a 2-1 win over Villanova. Mirkin has two career game-winning goals at Penn.
*Penn's team captains this year include Meily, Schneck, and senior Sofia Palacios.
*Meily registered two assists last weekend, setting up goals for Schneck against Harvard and Temple. She has three assists this season, tied for most on the team. Meily tallied five assists in her junior year and seven in her sophomore year, a total of 15 for her career.
*Meily scored the first goal of her career against Drexel, converting on a penalty stroke.
*Palacios made her season debut against Saint Joseph's after returning from injury. Palacios has nine career goals and five career assists.
*Freshman forward Julia Russo scored her first goal for Penn against No. 12 Syracuse. She leads the Quakers on shots with 15.
*Sophomore Erin Kelly scored her first goal of the season and second of her career against Villanova. Kelly has cemented herself as a vital member of the Quakers' corner unit.
*Junior Ava Rosati established herself as Penn's starting goalkeeper midway through last season. She has three shutouts this season, five in career, and has made 42 saves over ten games this season.
Discussing Dartmouth
Dartmouth enters the weekend with a 1-1 Ivy record and a 4-4 overall record. The Big Green opened Ivy play with a 3-0 loss to Princeton but bounced back to defeat Brown 4-2.
This is the 43rd meeting between Penn and Dartmouth. The Quakers lead the series 23-16-3. The Quakers have won the past three meetings against the Big Green, with two of those wins coming in overtime. Additionally, Penn has shut out Dartmouth in the past two matchups.
