BEALLSVILLE, Md. – The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team finished the fall portion of its 2018-19 season on Tuesday at the Georgetown Intercollegiate, where the Quakers took 12th place overall. The 54-hole event concluded today at the par-71 Four Streams.
Penn shot 303-294 on Monday and followed up with a 301 on Tuesday to finish at 46-over-par 898 for the tournament. The only other Ivy League team in the field, Princeton, was the team champion as the Tigers shot 856. That was six strokes better than second-place Seton Hall.
Individually, senior
Carter Thompson and freshman
Mark Haghani tied as Penn's low scorers for the weekend, both shooting 221 over the 54 holes and tying for 28th in a field of 70 golfers. Thompson had the Quakers' low round from the event, a second-round 69, while Haghani tied for third in the field with 40 pars over the 54 holes.
Senior
Zareh Kaloustian shot 76-73-77—226 and placed 44th in the field, while sophomore
Mitchell Cornell (81-77-75—233) tied for 59th. Freshman
Carter Prince had Penn's low round on Tuesday, a 74, and he shot 240 for the tournament to take 66th. Another freshman,
Jason Langer, played in the field as an individual and finished 67th with a score of 244.
Princeton had two of the top three individuals, with Evan Quinn taking medalist honors as he shot a 7-under-par 206 for the tournament. That was three strokes ahead of Butler's Logan Sadins and four ahead of Tigers teammate Max Ting.
