PRINCETON, N.J. - The University of Pennsylvania track and field programs concluded the annual ECAC/IC4A Championships on Sunday with five podium performances, all on the women's side. In fact, the Quakers brought home a runners-up finish from the women.

Elena Brown-Soler took first place in the 4x100m relay with a time of 45.85, while freshmanÂ
Nia Akins claimed the top spot in the 800m at 2:08.07, matching her PR, representing Penn's first place marks. Fellow rookieÂ
Tia Livingston took second in the 400m hurdles, becoming only the second ever in program history to finish a sub-one minute race in the event at 59.75. Rounding out the top-three marks on the track wasÂ
Candace Taylor, who coasted to a time of 55.11 in the 400m to finish third for the Red and Blue.
In field events, freshmanÂ
Maura Kimmel captured third in the shot put with a distance of 14.32m, while also taking fifth in the discus throw at 46.18m.Â
On the men's side, the best finish of the day came from freshmanÂ
Sean Clarke who placed fourth in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.11m, while classmateÂ
Nathan Fisher wasn't too far behind in sixth, clearing 5.00m for the first time in his career as a Quaker.Â
William Bishop brought home a fifth-place mark in the shot put for Penn with a throw of 16.74m.Â
Next up for the Quakers are the NCAA Championships, beginning with the East Region Preliminary Round, set to take place in Lexington, Ky. on the campus of the University of Kentucky from May 25-27. The top-48 individuals in each event qualify for the prelims and will be announced later this week.Â
