John R. Rockwell Gymnasium

Located on the first floor of the TSE Center at Hutchinson Gymnasium, the John R. Rockwell Gymnasium serves primarily as a practice space for the men's and women's varsity basketball programs and as the home venue of the gymnastics programs for its regular-season meets. It can also be used for volleyball and wrestling, and serves as a space for the University's intramural and club sport programs.

The Rockwell Gymnasium features 6,000 square feet of multi-use space, retractable seating for 200 spectators -- there is alsostanding-roomviewing on the second floor's South side of the second floor-- six retractable baskets, a full operational scoreboard (with shot clock boards at each end), and Robbins Basketball flooring.

At the West end of the Rockwell Gym, a lounge area that can see into the gymis available for functions. On the second floor, overlooking Rockwell Gym,is the 3,000-square-foot Curran Family Basketball Suite which houses offices for the men's and women's basketball coaches and staffs.

The Rockwell Gym was part of a 98,000-square-foot renovation of the existing Hutchinson Gymnasium that cost $27.2 million. The project is certified as LEED Gold.
