Nalitt Family Gymnastics Center

Dedicated in November 2013, the Nalitt Family Gymnastics Center is located on the second floor of the TSE Center at Hutchinson Gymnasium and serves as the training center for the University of Pennsylvania’s women’s gymnastics program. (Regular-season meets are held across the hall in the John R. Rockwell Gymnasium, while championship meets are held next door in The Palestra.)

The state-of-the-art training facility features10,000 square feet of program facility includingspace for four balance beams, two vaulting runways, three sets of uneven bars, a trench-channel single bar, the floor exercise and a tumbling strip. Additionally, the facility boasts loose foam training pits, as well as in-ground rezi pits, to allow athletes to work on elements for all events.

The Center also boasts a team room, and the coaches' offices are located in the TSE Center at Hutchinson Gymnasium

The facility was made possible as the result of a generous gift from former Penn gymnast Beth (Wasserstein) Nalitt, M.D., and her family. Dr. Nalitt was a member of the Quakers gymnastics team from 1976-79 and now operates her own private practice in Millburn, N.J.

TheNalitt Family Gymnastics Centerwas part of a 98,000-square-foot renovation of the existing Hutchinson Gymnasium that cost $27.2 million. The project is certified as LEED Gold.
