Kevin Nguyen was hired as an Assistant Director of Marketing at Penn in September 2022.
Prior to his time at Penn, Nguyen spent the 2021 season with the Pittsburgh Pirates working as the Game Presentation Assistant with the organization. He developed and wrote scripts and rundowns for each Pirates game as well as executed varying roles in the control room at PNC Park.
Nguyen was a Digital Media and Marketing Assistant at his alma mater, La Salle University for a year and a half. He produced streams for ESPN+, was the lead stage manager for Men’s and Women’s Basketball, wrote game-day scripts, and scheduled national anthem/halftime performances.
Before being a Digital Media and Marketing Assistant, Nguyen spent four years working at La Salle’s Athletic Department as a student worker, assisting with game day operations in various aspects. He was awarded the Joseph E. Crowley Award his senior year which is given to a non-athlete who has made significant contributions to the athletic department. Nguyen also volunteered with at 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament East Regional Semi-Final and Finals which was hosted by La Salle University.
In addition to his duties at Penn, Nguyen currently is a freelancer for the Philadelphia Phillies, Flyers, Sixers, Eagles, and Union in each venue’s control rooms.
A native of Souderton, PA, Nguyen graduated from La Salle University in 2019 with a degree in Marketing, he is currently also obtaining his Masters of Business Administration at La Salle University.
