Alessandro Vecchi

WORKS WITH: Sprint Football, Women’s Lacrosse

Alessandro Vecchi was hired at the University of Pennsylvania in November 2022.
 
Vecchi came to Penn from Temple University, where he earned a master’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training and was a graduate intern working with the Owls’ men’s and women’s tennis, fencing, field hockey, women’s lacrosse, and women’s soccer teams. He also worked to provide training and competition in several youth and adult settings outside Temple including Canada’s U18 Field Hockey Camp, and the Philadelphia Union’s Academy.
 
Vecchi graduated from Ithaca College in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, graduating Summa Cum Laude and earning Dean’s List three times. As an undergraduate, he did clinical rotations with Ithaca’s football, softball and field hockey teams as well Cornell’s wrestling program. Vecchi was inducted into the Ithaca College Oracle Honor Society at the end of his freshman year and earned Ithaca’s Rodney Dusinberre Athletic Training Award as a senior. The Dusinberre Award is given for complete and consistent dedication to the athletic training program, and consistently going the extra mile in helping provide healthcare to Bomber Athletics

A Vermont native, Vecchi is a National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA) member and a Certified Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC).
