Kaity Healy joined the University of Pennsylvania women's basketball program as an assistant coach in August 2026.
Healy comes to University City with seven years of coaching experience following a four-year playing career at Seton Hall from 2015-19.
Prior to arriving at Penn, Healy's most recent coaching stop was at St. John's University, joining the Red Storm in July 2024. During her two-year tenure in Queens, Healy was responsible for recruiting efforts, on-court development of the team's perimeter players, and serving as the liaison between student-athletes and various athletics staff members.
Before earning a move to the BIG EAST, Healy spent two seasons in the Patriot League at American University. While with the Eagles, Healy helped with recruiting efforts, development of perimeter players and worked as the liaison for academics and compliance on behalf of the program. Under her tutelage, 10 Eagles were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2023-24.Â
The year prior, Healy served on FDU's coaching staff during the 2021-22 campaign, helping lead the Knights to a Northeast Conference (NEC) regular season title and a WNIT berth. Following the Knights' remarkable season, they were honored as the NEC Coaching Staff of the Year. Along the way, Healy coached three All-NEC selections and a Player of the Year.
In 2020-21, Healy was named to Conference USA's Coaching Staff of the Year, while working as the assistant director of basketball operations for Florida International University (FIU). During her time as a Panther, Healy was tasked with all aspects of team travel and worked as the liaison for equipment, facilities, academics and compliance, in addition to her day-to-day coaching responsibilities.
Healy's coaching career began at Holy Cross as the director of basketball operations and assistant coach in 2019. Her primary responsibilities involved coordinating the team's operations logistics, but she also helped coach two All-Patriot League honorees and one WNBA Draft pick during her single season with the Crusaders.Â
Prior to entering the coaching landscape, Healy was a four-year letterwinner and three-time team captain at Seton Hall from 2015-19. The former guard saw action in 85 contests, making 17 starts in four years. Over the course of her career, the squad made three postseason appearances, including a trip to the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
In the classroom, Healy was a four-year selection to the Dean's List for Seton Hall's Stillman School of Business and to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team. In 2018, she was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society.
Throughout her collegiate career, Healy received multiple opportunities for leadership development. She was invited to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's "So You Want to Be a Coach" program in 2019 and was selected to attend the New Jersey Association of Athletics for Women Leadership Symposium in 2018. Healy also served on Seton Hall's and the BIG EAST's Time Management Plan Committee in 2017-2018.
Healy was the women's basketball team representative for Seton Hall's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and represented the University at the BIG EAST's annual SAAC Meeting in 2017.
The Freehold, N.J. native graduated from Seton Hall with bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting in 2019 and currently resides in Philadelphia.
