James Juliano

James Juliano

James Juliano brings both championship-level playing experience and collegiate coaching experience to the Penn Sprint Football program. A former Penn Sprint Football standout, Juliano was a three-year starter from 2015-2018 and was a key member of the 2016 CSFL Championship team. He was named to the All-CSFL team three times and earned Penn’s Outstanding Freshman Award as well as the Outstanding Linebacker/DB Award.

Following his playing career at Penn, Juliano joined the coaching staff at Chestnut Hill College Sprint Football in 2019, serving as Assistant Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach. He assisted with the installation of a new defensive system, contributed to in-game defensive playcalling, and was responsible for linebacker development, the defensive inside game and scout defense. He also led team film sessions, installed new defensive fronts and stunts, and developed weekly opponent scouting presentations highlighting personnel, tendencies and keys to victory.

Juliano’s coaching approach is grounded in preparation, communication and player development. At Chestnut Hill, he regularly worked with players on academics and conduct in addition to their responsibilities on the field.

Juliano’s experience as both a Penn Sprint Football player and coach gives him a unique understanding of the program and its student-athletes. His combination of playing experience, defensive coaching knowledge and leadership skills makes him a valuable addition to the Penn Sprint Football staff.
