Frank McConnell joined the Quakers in 2019 as the team's offensive lines coach.
In his first year coaching the offensive line, Penn's offense thrived. The Quakers boasted the league's best rushing offense with an average of 231.1 yards per game and finished with seven offensive All-CSFL selections, including three offensive linemen.Â
Prior to coming to Penn, McConnell played four seasons as an offensive lineman with Sacred Heart. Over his four years with the Big Red, he made 20 starts including a start in all 12 games during Sacred Heart's 2014 NEC Championship campaign. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he served as Sacred Heart's Tight Ends Coach as a graduate assistant from 2015-17.
McConnell is the son of William R. Wagner Head Coach of Sprint Football Jerry McConnell.Â
