Bobby Ray Harris was named Defensive Coordinator for the University of Pennsylvania sprint football program on July 5, 2023. With an impressive coaching resume in both collegiate and professional football, Harris brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team.

Harris previously served the Quakers in 2022 as the team's video coordinator.

Having previously worked in the NFL for the St. Louis Rams, Harris has honed his skills at the highest level of the game. His time in the professional ranks has provided him with invaluable insights and strategies that will undoubtedly enhance Penn's defensive unit.

He has also made significant contributions to several prominent collegiate programs throughout his career. As an offensive assistant at Florida State under the legendary Bobby Bowden, he gained invaluable experience in working with high-powered offensive schemes. His time at Middle Tennessee—serving as running backs and special teams coach—further solidified his reputation for excellence.

Additionally, Harris has excelled in coaching positions at Rowan University, William Paterson University, and Saint Peter's. His diverse experience has allowed him to work with different defensive units and refine his coaching techniques. Moreover, his tenure at Haddon Heights High School showcased his ability to mentor and inspire young athletes, laying a strong foundation for their future successes.
