Powell on Archibong: “Tony improved dramatically in the 2004 season. He went from just another sprinter in the conference to the top returning threat in the Ivy League. He scored valuable points for the team when it mattered most. He was second in the 200m and fourth in the 100m at the Outdoor Heptagonal games. An IC4A qualifier in three events he is ready to shine on the regional and national stage. After running the first leg on the relay the past two seasons he will now be looked upon as the leader of a 4x100m team that should challenge the 40 second barrier. On that team will be a few newcomers to the Penn program who should challenge Archibong for the title of fastest man in the Ivy's. Their workouts should determine how far each takes their talent in the next two seasons. Tony's work ethic is what distinguishes him from the average student-athlete, and he is bound to do whatever it takes to lead himself and his team toward another Heps Championship come May. Tony is a student in Wharton.”
